YSPC Then & Then: @MonksTable & @Les3BrasseursCa

Testament to just how long the Yonge Street Pub Crawl has been happening: The Monk's Table was called The Abbot on the Hill the first time we stopped there and The 3 Brewers didn't even exist!

In fact, The Monk's Table was so newly launched that they weren't even operating Saturday afternoons. They were generous enough to open early specifically so they could be a stop on the YSPC.

The YSPC looks forward to making it's first return visit to The 3 Brewers!

YSPC Then & Now: @barVolo - Looking back at past stops on the Yonge Street Pub Crawl

Image

In 2005 the very first Yonge Street Pub Crawl almost didn't stop at Bar Volo. Most participants thought it was just a restaurant or café and didn't meet the YSPC's "pub or bars only" criteria. Thankfully we decided to check it out and were rewarded with the discovery of a craft beer Mecca. Bar Volo has hands-down one of Toronto's best beer selections. Canadian microbrews, seasonal taps and bottles corralled from around the globe line the walls and fill the menu.

With the YSPC's downtown reboot in 2009, this fine drinking (and eating) establishment was back on the route. The last two visits have only served to cement Bar Volo as a fan favourite on the crawl — and not just because it's patio's extra large awning has provided shelter from the rain two out of three times.

The Yonge Street Pub Crawl is always open to new participants and looks forward to introducing Bar Volo to those that haven't yet experienced it's hospitality. The YSPC happens Saturday August 20th starting at 2:00PM in Yonge-Dundas Square. Participants are asked to make a suggested donation of $10.00 to Right To Play.
