The 7th Annual Yonge Street Pub Crawl (YSPC) for Right To Play

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the 7th edition of the YSPC such a success.

A small but dedicated crew or vetrans and newbies helped raise $225.00 for Right To Play.

It's not too late if you would like to donate; you can do so online at:
http://righttoplay.akaraisin.com/p/YSPC.aspx

See you next year on the third Saturday in August!

YSPC Then & Now: Brownstone Bistro @BrownstoneB

Another past stop on the Yonge Street Pub Crawl that has undergone a significant change of appearance, The Brownstone's signage went from trippy to tony.

YSPC Then & Now: Crown & Dragon - A look back at past pub crawl stops

Even though the photos don't exist, the Yonge Street Pub Crawl stopped by the Crown & Dragon on its inaugural run in 2005.

Since 2009 the C&D has become THE late-night snack stop on the YSPC. It's wing menu is extensive with sauces and rubs ranging from tried-n-true to gourmet to the down-right exotic.

YSPC Then & Then: @MonksTable & @Les3BrasseursCa

Testament to just how long the Yonge Street Pub Crawl has been happening: The Monk's Table was called The Abbot on the Hill the first time we stopped there and The 3 Brewers didn't even exist!

In fact, The Monk's Table was so newly launched that they weren't even operating Saturday afternoons. They were generous enough to open early specifically so they could be a stop on the YSPC.

The YSPC looks forward to making it's first return visit to The 3 Brewers!

YSPC Then & Now: The Duke Gloucester

The Duke of Gloucester is the kind of no-nonsense pub that doesn't give a toss about 'gimmicky' drinking events like the Yonge Street Pub Crawl.

Tucked away above an Indian restaurant, its entrance obscured by the glare from the Panasonic Theatre's marquee, the DofG is a well-worn local. The regulars who dominate its bar look like they greatly appreciate their watering-hole's lack of accessibility and always seem a bit ruffled when a boisterous group of unknowns charge up the stairs.

Last year the YSPC finally cracked the DofG's gruff exterior and managed to get a staff member to pose for the bar-front photo.

YSPC Then & Now: Hoops

By the time the Yonge Street Pub Crawl reaches Hoops it's usually time for a mid-afternoon snack. Their chicken wings are tasty!

YSPC Then & Now: The Elephant & Castle

Traditionally the first stop on the Yonge Street Pub Crawl after Yonge-Dundas Square, now the second, The Elephant & Castle is always a good gathering point for stragglers.
